How To Buy on Trust Wallet

Cryptocurrencies, tokens and blockchain investments are high risk. The market is volatile and significant price changes can occur in a short period of time. Do not spend more money than you can afford to lose. Your capital is at risk.

Trust Wallet (Mobile)

Many DApps allow you to connect and trade using Trust Wallet.

Trust Wallet is one of the easiest mobile wallets to use, so if you’d like to use BSC from your pocket, it’s among the best options. Alternatives such as MetaMask exist, but we'll stick to Trust Wallet for this guide.

Creating a New Wallet

The steps for creating your first Multi-Coin Wallet are very simple and can be done in a matter of minutes.

Step 1 - Download and Launch Trust Wallet

Download Trust Wallet and launch the app. You will be presented with the screen below. You can “Create a New Wallet” or “Import” an existing one. For new Trust Wallet users, we will be selecting "Create a New Wallet"

Step 2 - Accept Terms of Use

In order to proceed, you need to accept the Terms of Use. Read the disclaimer and if you're happy, check and proceed.

If you lose your recovery phrase, you could lose access to your wallet.

Step 3 - Save your Recovery Phrase

This is the most important part of your crypto journey. You need to take note of your recovery seed phrases. Your recovery phrases are the keys to your crypto wallet. So make sure to keep them in a safe place and do not share them with anybody. No support staff or admins of any group or community will ever ask for your recovery phrase. Tap on Continue to proceed.

Step 4 - Verify your Recovery Phrase

If you followed Step 3 and backed up your recovery phrase, this will be a breeze. In the correct order, select the words in order to complete the verification process. Click Continue when you are finished.

Step 5 - Wallet is Ready

After going through the backup and verification process, you will be redirected to the main wallet screen. You will see an initial list of coins that you can start funding right away. Congratulations!

Adding Funds

Step 1 - Add Funds to Trust Wallet with your Credit Card

Before you proceed, please be aware of the following:

  • Trust Wallet does not sell any crypto directly. you will be redirected to a 3rd party provider.

  • The minimum transaction is $50, and the maximum is $2,000. These limits are set by the provider.

  • The Trust Wallet app does not collect any fees. The provider charges a conversion and network fee.

  • The availability of the crypto you can purchase is based on your location. The provider only operates in certain countries.

  • If you have any concerns with your purchase, please reach out to the crypto provider. Neither Trust Wallet nor 8Bit Doge will be able to offer support at this stage.

Step 2 - Add Funds to Trust Wallet with your Credit Card

Open up your wallet and select the crypto that you want to Buy. We recommend buying BNB as is it the default purchasing token for everything on Binance Smart Chain (that's where 8Bit Doge lives.)

Tap on the buy button in the upper right corner.

Step 2 - Choose Purchase Amount

Choose the amount in USD and the provider will give a quote on how much BNB (or whichever token you've chosen) you will receive. For advanced users, tap on 3rd party provider to see if there is a different provider available.

Step 3 - User Verification

Depending on the crypto provider, user verification will be required before making a purchase. You will be redirected to their website in order to complete this process.

Step 4 - Wait for Confirmation

Once purchase is confirmed, you will receive an email from the crypto provider. Your BNB (or whichever token you've chosen) will be appear in your wallet soon.

Why is my crypto delayed? Check your order and look for a transaction ID or hash. This will show if the provider has already sent the crypto to you. If there is none, contact the provider. If the transaction shows that it is pending, then you would have to wait for the network to confirm it.

I was charged but I did not receive my purchase? See question above.

The fees are too high! The fees are taken by the crypto provider. If you have any concerns with your purchase, contact the provider.

Why can't I buy crypto? This depends on several factors; the crypto you are purchasing, your geographic location and whether the provider is able to verify your identity.

It shows "Not Available" when trying to buy crypto! If this is your first time buying, please see the question above. If you have purchased crypto before from the same provider, there are more than likely issues with the provider. Choose a different provider or contact them for assistance.

Buying 8Bit Doge

Step 1 - Converting BNB

For reasons we won't go into in too much detail, before you use your BNB to purchase Binance Smart Chain tokens (that's us) on decentralised exchanges (that's where we are,) you need to convert BNB into Smart Chain BNB. This just takes a second and is a 1:1 swap (minus very, very small network fees.)

Click the BNB in your wallet, click "More" and then click "Swap to Smart Chain." Once you're at this screen, select the amount you want to swap into Smart Chain BNB and proceed.

Step 2 - Connecting to PancakeSwap

Even if you're new, you may have heard of decentralised exchanges (DEX) such as PancakeSwap or UniSwap. To make this easier for newcomers to buy 8Bit Doge for the first time we will walk you through the steps.

In Trust Wallet tap the DApps/Browser button at the bottom of the screen.

This will pull up the Trust Wallet browser.

From here you can just copy and paste this 8Bit Doge PancakeSwap web address into the top of the browser.

In the top right click "Connect" then select "Trust Wallet". This will connect your Trust Wallet to the PancakeSwap exchange.

Step 3 - Buying 8Bit Doge

First we need to set the "slippage" which is about 0.1-1% on Buys and 10-11% on Sells. To do this tap the Setting icon (3 Slider Bars icon) and then enter the slippage as a percentage and then exit the settings.

Select the amount of Smart Chain BNB (that's what we just converted from regular BNB) that you'd like to swap. PancakeSwap will tell you how many 8Bit Doge tokens you'll receive.

PLEASE NOTE that with PancakeSwap it is best practice to change the last digit in the token you are swapping to a "1" like in the example below. Also note this will change the amount of Smart Chain BNB you are swapping very slightly.

Press "Swap" then "Confirm Swap." You'll be taken to the "Confirm" page that will show the transaction details. Confirm and send your transaction by hitting the "Send" button at the bottom. Wait a few moments (or longer when the network is delayed) and you'll see the transaction complete.

Of course, we don't expect you to hold 8Bit Doge indefinitely. If you want to sell in part or in full at any point, simply return to PancakeSwap and repeat the process in reverse.

There are numerous ways to invest in 8Bit Doge and other tokens on Binance Smart Chain's network.
